The Premiere of 'Waking up Barry', a fly on the wall 
documentary following the story of cousins Matt Blumberg and Ross Mackintosh took place at the Barry Masonic Hall on Saturday the 28th February 2015.

The event was sponsored by the Barry Town Council, many of whom were in attendance, and included performances from Singer songwriter Patsy Hunt, acoustic duo Sarah + Nia and a fantastic performance from vocal harmony group The Valli Boys.

The film was written, produced and directed by Mark Woods, and was filmed over an 18 month period, with over 100 hours of footage captured.

 

The film was later released on DVD and a limited number were available via our website. (Now sold out).
 

The project was a great success with the film receiving lots of praise from local councillors, sponsors and members of the local media. Below are a number of posts and blogs from social media:
